![]() 4/10/2007 TokyoLast weekend, I went Tokyo to meet my boyfriend by the last plane. He waited me at Haneda airport. He arrived there 2 hours before when I arrived. It’s mean he arrived there before I left Fukuoka. I can easily imagine how he excited to meet me. Next day, we went to Tokyo national museum because I had a coupon, which was enclosed with receipt of viewing fees. I expected to see some pictures of Leonardo da Vinci but there was only one picture. True that was an excellent painting but only one! Too few! There was a national museum so we can see many historical objects. And I was amazed because almost all of them were national treasures and important cultural assets. We have a national museum also in Fukuoka but it was not as great as Tokyo’s although there were less people than Fukuoka. It’s not fair sometime I feel. On Sunday, we went to NHK studio park. I had a coupon also here. I know most people don’t like NHK because it’s too conservative and stubborn bureaucracy. That’s true but not always true. There are many innovative programs such as On Air Battle, Salary Man Neo, Project X and so on. NHK is the network which I like the best. At there, fortunately, I was abele to attend recording of a radio program which personalities were Packen Macken, famous Japanese comedians. To be exact, one is from America (and he is a Harvardman!) and the other is Japanese. I like Packen so I was really glad to attend the show. And the most happily, he talked to me! I talked with himJ 4/5/2007 cherry-blossom viewingI did some experiment but it didn’t work. The data were not clear to read the sequence. I don’t know what the problem was. That’s a problem. How can I improve? Umm… Tomorrow, our laboratory will have 4 newcomers. All of them are men and we will have cherry-blossom viewing as a welcome party so freshmen of master course, I mean that I and three boys, went to super market to buy some foods and drinks. We will cook chirashi sushi, which is a vinegared rice with thin strips of egg, pieces of raw fish, vegetables and crab meat arranged on top, for the party! And we had to buy lots of beer. You know, I hate beer except for Tsingtao beer. I heard that Tsingtao beer is Northern European manner. I have never been to Northern Europe and tried Northern European beer so I don’t know it’s taste similar or not. Anyway, I like it because it’s not so bitter. After buying some grocery we went to see the location where we will have welcome party tomorrow. And we were amazed! We stretched a rope around the area and put a sign on which we wrote the name of our laboratory, the extended number and the day we would use this place. However, last night rain and wind have flown it away and we found a new sign which said another laboratory would use the same place on the same day! So we had to change the place where we would hold welcome party and the place was worse than original one. We can see few cherry-blossom from there. I’m really looking forward to meet themJ But I’m anxious about tomorrow weather. I suppose it'll be cold. It was snow in Tokyo today. I miss warm Hong Kong. 4/4/2007 LOST I was so stupid today. I wore one-piece suit today, although I had a check-up. The doctor had to place the stethoscope by putting his hand in my one-piece from the hem. That was horrible! As expected, internal medicine doctor was a old bird. Not attractive rather he made me disappointed.
I was told my blood pressure was low. This was the said my blood pressure was low. This was the first time I was told so. But I never feel it. Is there any problem related to low BP? I drank tomato juice and soy juice this morning. These are my usual breakfast.
After that, I went to postoffice to pay my membership fee of Chemical Society of Japan. Finally, I will enter it.
I came back home around 7p.m. and saw LOST, an American TV drama, 9 to 12 episodes. This drama got me hooked. I can't wait next episode. 4/3/2007 opening of a new school year From today, I became a masuter student. And my new school life bigan. When I went to school today, I was really surprised because one of my laboratory fellow left school without saying anything. I was so sad because there were only 5 fellow, who are the same year as me, including me. So now only 4 we have. Moreover, he was the person whose laboratory subject was really close to me. So I feel lonely now.
I'll take a chekup tomorrow and I have analysis of urine so I'm nervous. And the doctor of internal medicine will be a man I suppose cause it have always been a man so there won't be a change. But the things could be worse. Last year was also man but young and handsome. Actually I felt a little bit excited. However, if it'll be a old bird, I'll be disgusted. 11/9/2006 dissection of flies I woke up late this morning. Actually, I fell back to sleep, because I turned of the alarm when I woke up first time. Useally, I don't press the power button. I substitute the side button for the power button. I woke up 1 hour later. I was so nervous, because I felt that I lost time.
I saw TV program Tokudane. In that program, they were talking about bullying. Especially about what parents can do for their children. I was so interested in it, because I got teaching degree and I feel like to be a teacher.
Of course I was late for laboratory around 40 minuits. Starting today, my instructor came to laboratory(because there were a peptide society from the last week) and I asked her what should I do for my study. She told me to dissect many flies. I disappointed, because to dissect flies is very grotesque. I'd rather I didn't need to do. Luckily, however, when I open the incubator, I realized all files were dead. I was so happy. I will restart my study from the next week.
Tommorrow, I will meet my partner who is an exchange student from Michigan university. I meet her more than once a week and talk with her in Japanese as volunteers. She is only 19 year's old and not so tall. I felt she is not so tall. It means she is short in U.S. She is interested in Karate. She said that she has learned tae kwon do as a school class. Actually I know nothing about tae kwon do. Is that Japanese fighting sports? She told me that in tae kwon do, she can use only foot not hand. I have never known until then. I have no interst in fighting spotrs at all. |
